He used himself as an example as why one should not be so ready and willing to classify people as normal" or abnormal" (the picture was actually him) Asperger= mild version of autism, doesn"t exist under dsm (cid:0) you"re just somewhere on the asd (autism spectrum disorder) If child is diagnosed as autistic, teacher will deal with them differently. The goal of diagnosing should be treatment. Generalized anxiety disorder (gad) = #1 misdiagnosis family doctors give. In the dsm-iv, if you"re only fear was public speaking you would not get diagnosis of social anxiety (cid:0) because so common, most people are afraid of it.
