Phenomenological emphasises conscious perceptions of the present: subjectivity of experience of the world. Congruence thoughts and feelings match experience: feelings of authenticity, thoughts and feelings match experience. Positivity of human motivation people are generally good, positive and seek growth: people are generally good, positive, and seek growth. But, rogers believed that these weren"t unconscious impulsive drives that must be thwarted.
