Agriculture was not a local development, but developed as the whole of europe. Geneic analysis: how agriculture arrived to europe: mtdna analysis: shows that 20% only, perhaps only the idea of agriculture spreads. Y chromosome analysis (geneics through the male line): more than 50% of modern european has the y chromosome of middle eastern men. That means perhaps the men (and women) physically brought farming. Similar to anatolian neolithic villages, but diferent layout: narrow lanes between houses. Thessaly 8k: modern looking houses, with basements, 2 storey, individual family. Polished stone tools, potery were considered plane ware". Graves are individual, no cemeteries or groups of dead, like in ppnb. Karanova, south bulgaria: tells 12m high, 10 acres: height is a pride and age indicator. Potery has disinct styles: north greece: red on white. By 7500 bp new, large setlements, especially on south hungarian plain. Early to late neolithic is a marked increase to catle bones.
