There are two species western lowland gorilla (gorilla gorilla gorilla) and cross river gorilla (gorilla gorilla dielhi) Easter gorillas have two subspecies: easter lowland gorillas (gorilla beringei graueri) and mountain gorillas) gorilla beringei beringei are found in central equatorial africa.
