Weight management involves: healthy relationship with food/physical activity, psychology and environmental control. Globally: ~13% of world"s adult population are obese (11% m, 15% f) according to who. ~39% of adults (38% m, 40% f) are overweight: global prevalence of obesity more than doubled from 1980-2014. Canada 2009: 68% males overweight (overweight includes obese), 53% obese, ~9% of children/youth aged 6-11 were obese. Food consumption: too many calories get deposited as fat/material. Food production: high calorie, unhealthy foods, portion sizes, accessible: processed food like dons and timmies, high in calories and we don"t know that we are consuming a lot.
