The act is intended to balance an individual"s right to the privacy of his or her personal information, which organizations need to collect, use, or share for business purpose. Human error and mistakes: most dangerous, biggest source of problem: due to negligence: wasn"t paying attention or didn"t know what you"re doing, done accidently, didn"t follow the procedure, physical mistakes (pulling out cables by accident), etc. Malicious human activity: on purpose: done intentionally, ex: employees who are going to be terminated, former employees, hackers, criminals, etc. Natural events and disasters: beyond control, but the easiest to plan for and come up with a back up plan: ex: earthquake, fires, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc, if equipment touched water, they will stop working!
