Generalist try to operate in multiple niches. Diversity in environmental resources causes diversity in org forms. Niche = area in constrained resource space in which 1 population outcompetes all other populations. Generalists try to make use of dynamism. Fine grained change = happens slowly over period of time. Hsu & hannah: idea of org form is still primitive.
