Should be knowledgeable about the study: analysis and presening results what are you going to do with the collected data. Paricipants: convenience or probability sample, eligibility criteria. For individuals and overall group composiion: size: ~6-12 persons, 1 or muliple fgs. Listen to how people talk to each other. Provide general feel for consensus among group: disadvantage. Not good for understanding variance within a group.
