Routine is more of a sptial-temporal theory. The sociological paradox: increased standard of living (economically and socially) crime rates increased substantially, They believed crime rates would fall during the (1960s) b/c of poverty and social ills but it only increased. In the end cohen and fleson released that the relative economic standing of neighbourhoods that mattered and not their economic standing.
