Restricted, repetitive patterns of behaviour, interests or activities as manifested by at least two of the following. Stereotyped or repetitive motor movements, use of objects or speech. Insistence on sameness, inflexible adherence to routines or ritualized patterns of verbal or nonverbal behaviour. Hyper or hyporeactivity to sensory input or unusual interests. Struggle to make sense of and understand the social activities of others. Struggle to adopt usual nonverbal social behaviours that regulate social interactions. Struggle to relate to other people and build close relationships. Lack of understanding of people as social partners may lead to their treating people as objects .
