Document Summary

Overview: we went over the first power point while also being introduced to both of the professors. There are two 15% papers due on february 9th and march 21st respectively. These papers will consist of taking a scientific paper and creating a paper from which the general public can read and understand what we as university science students have an understanding of without the same background or education. Along with a 30% midterm on february 14th (time and location tba) and a 40% final examination on the 17th from 8:30am to 10:30am (location tba). Please refer to courselink if there are any questions about the dates and times. The professor also spoke to that they do test on definitions to show understanding so they will be included in these notes but with different wording than the actual notes. To see the differences please feel free to look at the tables on page 6-8 of the lecture notes provided online.
