It is vital to monitor the performance of your website, analyzing results, and improve on the results you have achieved. The code sends information to a remote server, usually hosted by a software as a service (saas) supplier. The data-collecting server stores the web metrics data and provides data visualization capabilities: however, it requires the use of cookies. It s the most common and convenient as there is no software to install. However, there are problems such as potential problems and rejected or deleted cookies. Firewalls may also prevent the page tags from sending data back to the analysis server. Server-side log file tools: no instrumentation is needed in the html pages. It installs the software that analyzes the webserver is installed on the server. Another setback is page caching, where a web page can be cached on the visitor"s computer. This can skew the web metrics as well: google analytics.
