Alternatively, discuss a theoretical framework that assisted you in decision-making in your practice. This week at clinical placement, i integrated leininger"s cultural care theory into my practice. This theory focuses on integrating nursing care that aligns with patient cultural beliefs, values, and practices. The primary goal of this theory is to provide culturally congruent care . While working as a nursing student, i always strive to integrate culturally sensitive care while paying attention to patient diversity and individuality. For example, this week at clinical, will (a fellow male colleague) approached me asking for a favor with one of his patients. Of course, i said i would help, and he pulled me aside to let me know that his female patient was very uncomfortable with a man changing her brief.
