The concern about the social, political and economic equality of the sexes, races, etc. It is common to hear these days that women have made it and that feminist movements aren"t needed because women are: president, olympians, education etc. No gender norms (no makeup, shaving etc. ) Only fighting for women and make women more powerful. We"re falling into a historical amnesia we don"t have a good understanding of historical feminism. Fighting for gender and class equality by rebuilding society. Looking at different forms of discrimination (sexism, privilege, harassment in workplace) Interested in patriarchy (industrialized sexism, systematic structure of men being in power, with beliefs about men"s power which influences society) Interested in how women experience oppression in a patriarchal society. Argued that it isn"t about people"s biology it"s that we are in a patriarchal society/system. Give more rights to women (education) and radicalisms wanted more; to rebuild society and racism, homophobia, classism, transphobia, ableism.
