There is a figure that presents the global burden of disease study showing that risks are highest with diet and then decrease in order to tobacco, alcohol and drug use, and physical activity. This shows that tobacco is high up in increasing disease risks. The definition of tobacco includes products made entirely or partly of leaf tobacco as raw material and is intended to be smoked, sucked, chewed or snuffed. Tobacco products contain nicotine which is highly addictive. Tobacco is the leading preventable cause of death in the world, it kills nearly half its users, and nearly 7 million people a year (those of which 890000 is due to se(cid:272)o(cid:374)d ha(cid:374)d s(cid:373)oke.
