Being able to accept responsibility or to account for one"s actions and refers to being answerable to someone else for something one has down. Answerability: being able to offer reasons and explanations to other people for aspects of nursing practice. Can seek advice of other hcp"s or search for evidence. Balance accountability to patient, profession, employer and society.
