When the british didn"t follow his orders, nawab attacked the court. Block holes were designed for about 2 people, but many more (160) were forced inside. After 3 days, about 20 people survived, and this led to the battle of plassey. Empire was making money off the fact that the british had forts set up and they were doing international trade. East india company was formed by the merchants of london, then they selected a board of governors. King"s interests were actually personal interests, not his people"s interests. Because a couple of their groups were martyred, there was a real tension between the groups.
