Can adversely affect the welfare of the whole group. Can affect the mood of the handlers and can add to the problem. Another welfare issue that can occur is double muscling: the belgian blue has a natural mutation of the myostatin gene, as well as the charlais, the problem is not directly with the muscle growth itself.
