Physiological changes that occur over time: ex. There are sex and class differences in how physical changes are regarded: work in manual labour, work in a professional field. Some believe that aging is a frame of mind: changes in personality, cognitive, emotional arousal, memory, learning, and motivation. It is difficult to find qualities that are characteristic of most elderly: they show more differences than similarities, as do younger people. Changes in social roles and social status over time: ex. Social age is based on cultural norms, which specify how we should act at a certain age.
