Sperm quality poor due to disease or defects in sperm manufacturing. Contractions: braxton-hicks = false labour, dilated cervix, move fetus closer to cervix. Contractions last 40-60 seconds, 3-4 minutes apart. Fragile x syndrome: most common form of mental retardation, more common in boys, bottom end of x chromosome deficiency. Cystic fibrosis: clogging of lungs, some have poor growth. Sickle-cell anemia: tiredness, abdominal pain, bones, mildly retarded, heart/kidney problems. Teratogens (chemicals from environment that affect the baby)
