Spread to bohemia (present day czech republic), in the holy roman empire. Invited to the council of constance, for his trial. Tried guilty, and burnt at the stake in 1415. Woman and men organized themselves in small religious groups outside of the church. Beguines- women who live together in religious communities within normal society, they had no formal vows. New ideas of religion and the renaissance were linked together. Studied religious texts as opposed to greek and roman texts. Translate religious texts so they would be available for others.
