It is important to see these things and experience them in some way so you know how bad they can get. World conflict 1999-2008: africa: 13 major armed conflicts: algeria, angola, burundi, the drc, the republic of. Congo, eritrea-ethiopia, guinea-bissau, liberia, rwanda, sierra leone, somalia, sudan, and uganda: 11 conflicts in asia, 5 in the middle east, 3 in the americas, and 2 in europe. It does not seem like there is a long term solution: for all of its diversity, it seems that all of africa is also susceptible to war and violence and state breakdown.
