Occasionally individuals who are not part of government can be apart of provy council. Assist the prime minister in tasks: pmo. Group of people that advise prime minister on political dimensions of policies. Will this help prime minister get re elected or hurt pm"s (cid:272)ha(cid:374)(cid:272)es. Duties: schedule meetings for pm, draft speeches for pm. Act as interface between prime minister + its government and birocracy: pco. Headed by clerk of privy council (current head = michael wernick) Coordinate all programs to advise on financial resources. Executive of part of government that provides leadership. Focuses all political decision making in one place. Decisions that government takes are more efficient. Allows people to be represented in different ways.
