Le bon described crowd as a source of power, as well: allport (1924) Highly critical of le bon"s theory and argued that people in crowds will behave the same way as if they were alone. Suggested that in crowd people reveal their true nature. People in group: social facilitation the tendency for people to do better on simple tasks when in the presence of other people. He advertised for students to play the roles of prisoners and guards for a fortnight. The prison simulation was kept as real life as possible. Prisoners were arrested at their own homes, without warning, and taken to the local police station.
