Our model for disability is too often physical disability. We think of disability as a problem of the body, rather than unseen disability. Also can be related to ways in which people cannot relate to cultural norms or complete them due to their body/mental state. 2. disability , almost by definition, is meant to denote a lack. Disability is usually defined as a condition that limits a person"s physical or cognitive abilities. Reflect on how sunaura talks about picking up and moving her coffee cup with her mouth. She could pick it up with her mouth and carry it to her table, it makes it harder for people to deal with because it denormalized different body parts. She is perfectly able to move her cup, just not with her hands. Because she is calling into question the normal way of moving our bodies. In one sense yes, she has a physical impairment (or set of impairments).
