Focuses on the role of learning in abnormal behaviour: abnormal behaviour is regarded as learned in much the same way as normal behaviour, maladaptive, or inappropriate we learned it in some type of way. Know the differences between operant and classical conditioning. Ex: ringtone: you give a new partner a new ringtone, the relationship stops, and now the song is paired with that person, now your stomach turns every time you hear that song. First time you tried sushi, you get violently ill: now you don"t like it. Ex: want you children to wash the dishes, if they wash the dishes they get to watch more tv. Ex: speed, here"s the ticket, here"s the fine don"t speed.
