Personality coherence: the underlying trait stays the same but the way it is expressed changes. 10-year-old can be sensaion-seeking enjoying exploring the neighbourhood on bicycle whereas a sensaion-seeking 26-year-old might enjoy extreme sports. Individual diferences, that emerge during the irst year of life. Personality assessment: the measurement of the individual characterisics of a person, may be used to develop models of disorder, design intervenion programs, monitor treatments, evaluate treatments, and to make diagnosis. Have students take the test a second ime to see if their scores are similar: test-retest reliability.
