Durkhimes study-quantitative concluded a secondary analysis of existing public health data. Studies individualistic behaviour-found suicide to follow a pattern-not random. Fatalistic suicide as a world view-understanding social regulation-social groups where regulation is extreme (many rules). Heavens group-21 people all committed suicide in 1 day. Rather than suicide being individualistic-it is highly patterned. Toda(cid:455)"s youth with more risk-lgbtq community and first nations. Quantitative is the dominant method of research in sociology with surveys being predominant. Contrast: public attitudes of abortion-randomly selected people from society to gather data.
