ENGL119 Lecture 11: English 119 Lecture #11
Document Summary
English 119: week eleven lecture summary (team presentations) Do not simply read your report section aloud: a listening audience has needs that differ from those of a reading audience. Engage your audience, and give the highlights of your findings. The speaker who delivers the orienting information and background should try to keep this information complete yet succinct (express this information in under two minutes). Each team member must strive to deliver his or her section in roughly three minutes. Each team will also have an additional three minutes to convey all other information. 20 minutes will be the absolute maximum time for a team of five. Be aware of how much time you are taking. If you take up too much time, you will create distress in your team-mates. If you know you are going over-time, skip to the end of your talk.
