Constant different things to cope with the same stressor: coping is a broad set of responses, which include emotional reactions and voluntary and involuntary actions undertaken to address the stressor. External factors = not only influence appraisal but also able to affect your coping: more support, more stressors, more resources you can better deal with the stress. Internal factors = affect both appraisal and coping. Coping style: a general propensity to deal with stressful events in a certain way. These styles are stable patterns of responding to stress, characteristic of individuals.
