Spreadsheet: a collection of text and numbers laid out on a grid. Often used for accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, inventory management and other functions. Excel: electronic spreadsheet programs aid a multitude of problem-solving and decision making problems by providing: Excel: a computerized spreadsheet program used to build and manipulate worksheets and workbooks. Worksheet: a spreadsheet may contain data including text, numbers, formulas, charts, etc. Sometimes a chart-based worksheet is referred to as a chartsheet . Workbook: a collection of related worksheets within a file. File tab: consists of file operations commands such as opening, closing, saving, printing and sharing files. The options and features available here are part of the backstage view". Tabs and ribbons: each tab corresponds to a set of features displayed horizontally as a ribbon.
