Organic materials do not dissolve in water. Don"t see very much in north america. Chewing tobacco popular but not really anymore. Invented a little over 200 years ago. Tended to be some sort of a luxury. Leaves dried out over a period of a month. Rare that people smoked- had to be rich. After with machines, people could smoke more and more people could smoke. Flue-curing, smoke can be taken a little bit deeper.
