In perception you act more like an artist. Frames help shape our perception of what they contain. Not all frames are physical - ideas can make a framecontext. A change in frame leads to a change in meaning. Education is importantit enables you to see more. Proximity and closure - we tend to place things that are closest together by colour. We see what we expect instead of that is really there. Notes we make judgements and stereotypes according to how people look / appear. Select: the number of stimuli we can attend to is limited. We organize and impose structure on what we observe: Pattern: allows us to make sense of what we observe. Superimpose: lets us fill in the gaps for information we do not have. Categorize: helps us to organize large amounts of stimuli and to understand our experiences. Interpreting or attributing meaning to what we observe.
