As well as certain types of criminality vs. other types of criminality based on physical biology. I. e. a poor woman stealing was a common thief, while a rich woman stealing. Thieves had a higher pain tolerance than prostitutes. Not able to find many distinctions between female offenders and non- offenders, so he used pain as a way to measure anomalies. Psychiatrist had good intentions to classify individuals to better support the individuals, but these classifications turned into judgements by society and politics. Well-intended, but it was coercive and forced, and included experimentation at times.
