Intended to make whatever the reader is reading concrete in their mind. Imagery brings you into the world of a literary work. As such, the sublime inspires awe and veneration, with greater persuasive powers. Frankenstein flees the scene when the creature is before him, when the creature comes to life he is decomsemptualized. The figure of the creature evokes sublime image. It was a wretch of whom i have created. Never did i behold something as hideous as his face.
