Document Summary

The strange case of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde . Novella**wouldn"t ask for this term on the exam. Notion of it being like a tale it is oral, gives a sense of suspense. 3rd person limited focus kind of view. We become as part of the story, we are more identified with utterson. Here"s the confessional letter, that"s why its at the end. Start knowing not much with enfield (every layer is a tease) Didactive story (teaching side) stronger morale when revealed this way. Gives us a sense of hyde that"s not biased (felt like he was repulsive we get a sense of hyde from multiple people outside the narration circle validation) Is utterson a reliable character through which to learn about. When he hears enfield"s story, he asks if its real, he seems to have the personality of getting down to the facts. Hes very factual, he doesn"t freak out, he goes home and looks at the will.
