Countries with higher degrees of income inequality tend to have poorer health outcomes. Health of a population is better in many countries with less income disparity, and greater social equality/equity. Perceived equity: feeling as though distribution of resources is fair. Social equality: does not work out in theory since we do not all start off in the same place; we need different things that are speci c/proportionate to our needs.
