Illegal for jews to marry non jews: strip german citizenship for people with jewish blood, exclude jews from being public servants, doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. that have important social standing. November 1938 crystal night: nazi state unleashes campaign of violence and terror on german jews, 1000 synagogues destroyed, shops and store fronts of jews are vandalized, 30,000 jews are arrested and sent to concentration camps. 1939 there aren"t that many jews in germany. 1939 germany invades poland and there are lots of jews, about 2 million. Concentration camps weren"t invented by nazis: used by brits in south africa during boer war, japs were put in internment camps during ww2. Nazis put their stamp on it and pushed it to the extreme. Built a huge network of concentration, work and death camps. 1933 they started opening, as soon as hitler got to power: dachau was the 1st one opened in 1933.
