Characteristics of primary tension: members rarely interrupt one another, long, awkward pauses often come between comments, members are soft-spoken and very polite, members avoid expressing strong opinions. Group members begin to work as a cohesive team. Decisions are reached, problems are solved, and ideas are implemented.
