Music will often have this added dimension. In western music, music has primarily been written down and performed from notation. Important contribution to understanding of world music. Bringing recording equipment into the eld allows for wider dissemination of world music. Often related to theatre, dance, and even visual arts. Music has a means of teaching a particular historical tradition/history as a people.
