Document Summary

Fighting the unconscious side of our minds that physiologically tricks us to lead us in the wrong direction. Something that we believe, we will accept. We have a tendency to attach more weight to claims that we believe in. Example: just because we agree with a few of the claims that a political leader is making does not mean that we will believe in all of the claims that they make. We feel the need to agree with something everyone around you agrees with. Best sellers are often a marketing strategy that uses the bandwagon effect to its advantage. Since its a top seller it must mean people really like the book and forces you to jump on the bandwagon. We think that is what everyone likes, so we want to like it too. If there is a success in the box office, we feel inclined to see it because everyone else has.
