Communication network: receives info from environment. Analyzes, organizes and integrates to rest of body. Uses info to send out instructions to rest of body. Neurons: function, basic unit of communication in nervous system. Sends it to cns for further processing a. ii. Found only in cns, only communicate with other neurons, out # other neurons and have the most complex jobs. These are the neurons analyzing, organizing, and producing behaviors a. iii. Receive instructions from interneuron and send it out to the body: structure, cell body (soma) Contains structures that manufacture everything the neuron needs to survive: dendrites. Increase surface area of soma without taking up too much space. Carries message produced by neuron to other neurons.
