Ended up quitting that research and focusing on conditioning. Psychic secretion: dog salivates when he entered, found that it associates him with food learning has taken place, food salivation (natural, no learning required) Salivation is the unconditioned response (ur: pavlov would ring a bell. Bell is the neutral stimulus: bell + food salivation (must be repeated several times, ultimately: bell alone salivation (learning was required) Salivation is the conditioned response: higher order conditioning. Now using sound of bell to get the dog to salivate when seeing a red triangle.
