Centration: tendency to focus on a single perceptually striking feature of an object. Take two equal volumes of water in the same size glasses. Transfer one of the glasses of water into a larger container. Appearance vs. reality: confused when appearance and reality con ict. Child assumes that an object is really what it appears to be. Smiling when you feel sad inside, sponge that looks like a rock, dog dressed as a cat.
