Full size troll hidden in full size room. Children shown model room and asked to find the troll. Piaget limitations in thinking: centration, appearance vs reality, egocentrism, centration. Tendency to focus on a single perceptually striking feature of an object or event. Tested with conservation tasks: 5yo can"t pass test but 7yo can pass it.
