Adulthood and motherhood: tend to go hand in hand. Used to be the most ultimate and most natural form of being a woman. Ful llment of a woman"s purpose - what she is meant to do. These views tend to be a myth/misconception. A woman should put her own needs last and her children"s rst above all others: ex. In wwii, mothers weren"t eating in order to give their food rations to their children. Women are the primary caregivers for the children, responsible for their welfare and overall well-being. Supposed to sacri ce their individualistic needs for the children. Men are the breadwinners - supposed to come home to happy, healthy children and homes free of stress: but, this debases the role that men play in raising children. The penalty for men who leave work even for a short period of time are looked down upon - get lower performance reviews.
