Organizations should: understand affirmative action, appoint task force for gender issues, train managers to evaluate candidate"s fairly. Women is these jobs struggle with low income, underutilization of abilities, and lack of independence in decision making. Still report same overall level of job satisfaction. Different in developing countries (agriculture versus service occupations). Domestic work is treated as invisible and women are often exploited in these jobs (no time off/ health insurance). Maquiladoras (sweatshops) run by us in other countries to avoid paying minimum wage.
