Place an x on the line at the point that best describes your pain. To interpret this scale, make it a standard length (usually 10 cm). Then, measure the point on the line at which the person places his mark, and assign score accordingly. Example: i would prefer it if my psychometrics class was held outside. Here, again, the rater would put a slash on the point which best represents the worker"s performance. Then, again, could measure the distance from poor. Poor not fair very excellent so good good. School teaches you things that help sa a u d sd with getting a job in the future. Words used to define scale are clearly defined and ordered. Raters need to understand what they mean. But; scales with more than 7 levels lead to error. Greater number: to a point = greater spread of scores, greater reliability.
