Improved standard of living: terrorist attacks, middle adulthood, increased awareness of family, reordered priorities. Anxiety about health, safety: war in iraq, increased political awareness, unemployment, recession, our generation is the most polarized. Post childhood stages: stage 1 achieving independence youth, late adolescence 16-23.
