The function of society affects the fate and development. Individual then gives up some control of themselves. Sensory overload - agglomerated by many things, occupied spaces. Social competition, division of labour - specialization of job and competing with others to be the best and differentiate with others. Dominance of money economy - reduces social relations down to exchange of resources. Blas attitude (key protection mechanism) - ignore others e. g. homeless people.
